Ingredients:

  • 5 pound Boston butt roast
  • 3 slices of bacon
  • 1½ tablespoons Coarse Sea Salt
  • 5 peeled garlic cloves
  • Cabbage

Directions:

  1. Line the slow cooker with 3 slices of bacon.
  2. Cut slits into the meat and tucked in the garlic cloves.
  3. Salt roast with ¾ teaspoon of medium-coarse salt for every 1 pound of meat.
  4. Placed the roast on top of the bacon, skin-side up.
  5. Don't add any liquid!
  6. Cook the roast on low for about 16 hours.
  7. Remove the roast and shred.
  8. Cook shredded cabbage in the juices.
